Start-Me-Up Labs x UTS

SEO

Start-Me-Up Labs is a project we’ve been running for almost a year now. Born from the insight that startups are often in need of an MVB (Minimal Viable Brand) for their MVB, we worked with Adobe to create a unique one-stop pop-up identity shop. For its fourth instalment, we collaborated with the UTS:Hatchery to provide off-the-shelf identities for its incubator startups.

We kicked things off with a talk from one of our FTP co-founders Jason Little about branding for startups, then opened up the shop for the Hatchery groups to start building their identities. Teams chose their preferred fonts (from the legends at The Designers Foundry), shapes, colours, photography styles and tone of voice while guided through by our team of Lab experts.

Overall it was a fantastic morning and made even better by the team at the Hatchery at UTS led by Tida and James, as well as the UTS Viscom volunteers - Emily, Leah, Jade and Karla who donated their time to guide teams through the experience and finalise their identities. Thanks also to Adobe and everyone that stopped by!

We’ve put together a little case study of our previous Start-Me-Up Labs which you can see over here.
